Long story short (I know, too late) I was troubleshooting it again recently and went so far as to try and reposition the outside antenna in hopes of getting more reliable performance. I just chalked it up to being a terrible product (lets face it, even when it's working correctly it's still not the best product and I can think of lots of easy ways it could have been implemented better). And even then it wouldn't always resolve and I'd just give up and then seemingly overnight the system would connect and all would be right with the world, until it happened again, usually several times a week. Luckily the Wireless Connection Kit can be purchased separately for a great deal cheaper than the entire Screenlogic2 kit in the above link (Pentair 522620.can be found for around $150).Īnyway, I've always experienced intermittent connectivity issues that would sometimes resolve on their own and other times would require that I restart everything: the inside unit, routers, modems, switches and the outside EasyTouch panel. The failure turned out to be the outside antenna/transceiver unit. I'm on the second wireless connection kit as the original installed in 2017 bit the dust after about 1.5yrs of use in 2019. I initially got this system during a complete automation control system replacement thanks to a lightning strike during Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
